Episode – 102 car accident, roof repairs, shot sequence guidance

The latest episode is now live to wrap your ears round and as the title says, there have been a few stressful events. the important thing is we are safe, pretty shook up but unhurt.

In the episode I spend sometime discussing shot sequence in reference to some recent coaching with a student who is continuing to recover from injury following a motorcycle accident several years ago.

We focus on identifying the element of the shock sequence, how easy it is to skip or miss parts out. As you know I have over the years spent a good deal of time offering guidance and advice on this topic and you can read this material in past posts.

Removing broken wooden arrow tip

I’m working on a series of short videos on my YouTube channel. Offering some quick tips for archers on different topics. The first of these is the technique I use is to remove glued on wooden arrow points from broken arrow shaft.

Podcast return – Episode 101

I guess it is time for an announcement from me. I’ve come to the decision to restart the podcast series. I have been very humbled by the support that has been offered to me online, face to face or via phone calls, sometimes very long calls. Thank you all.

I’ve had some very positive conversations on the impact some of my material has had on individuals even organisations who have wanted to learn about target repairs. This has made me realise I enjoy trying to help people and stopping recording or writing has a huge negative impact on how I feel.

My goal remains the same. To provide a perspective of field archery in the UK. Offering coaching tips where I can, product reviews of equipment I bought and used. I’m planning on putting out some material on the Core takedown recurves we’ve been using for years as coaching bows, a variety of shooting gloves, Wildcrete 3D targets and more.
