Interesting post as I know some clubs and archery events suffer from low attendance.
Key seems to be promoting it.

My Archery Experiences 
I could not agree more. Some clubs seem to sit on their laurels hoping everyone will come back or tell their friends. I think early checking to see if nearby clubs are holding a shoot on a proposed day would be a good idea. There are only so many archers to go around. Either you have them all or share them out.
