Longlife Squirrel Blitz…

Not a very serious posting today, but something I hope you will find funny.

Fellow blogger and archer Wolfie has done a very funny YouTube video review of Bearpaw 3D squirrel target. It had me in stitches and thought it worth sharing.

You can check out more of his videos on line here http://www.youtube.com/user/Wolfiesairbrush?feature=watch

I wonder if it was inspired by this which I’m not sure is a real trailer or enough spoof of a Squirrel Horror movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7U2aVUAqPI

Anyway nice one Wolfie.

Thanks for reading.

Avenger Assemble and archery

Just a quick post concerning the film, which I managed to see yesterday.

The film is great and I would like Hawkeyes quiver, could solve a few difficult shots, but the real reason for this post is the article on GeekDad, which is worth a read.
The Avengers’Hawkeye: Not Such a Bad Archer After All (GeekDad Weekly Rewind) (http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2012/04/avengers-hawkeye-archer-rewind/)

There are a few interesting articles on archery on this site so if you get chance pay it a visit.

Films effect on uptake of Archery

This is an interesting article by a fellow blogger Jordan Sequillion http://jordansequillion.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/hunger-games-great-for-archery/ I too have wondered what effect films might have on the sport, such as films like Hunger Games.

Shortly there will be the animated film Brave by Disney / Pixar http://www.disney.co.uk/brave/, with the main character using a bow. Will this increase the number of kids and adults wanting to try archery?

Who knows, but could be interesting.
